What BoxPick uses

BoxPick uses your Shopify shop identifier and authentication credentials to connect to your store. It stores the shipping boxes you configure and packing results linked to Shopify order IDs and order names. Results can include product titles when dimensions are missing. Product dimensions are saved in Shopify variant metafields. Shopify session records may include the authorizing staff member’s ID, name and email.

Order notifications are processed to read item dimensions, quantities and shipping weights. BoxPick does not retain customer email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses or payment details from these notifications.

How data is used and shared

Data is used to recommend shipping boxes, write recommendations to order notes and show recent results. The 3DPACK.ING packing service receives box and item dimensions, weights, quantities and generic item labels. BoxPick does not send customer details, order identifiers or product titles to that service. Shopify processes store authentication, subscriptions and the order and product updates.

Access, retention and deletion

Box configurations and order results are retained while the app is installed unless deletion is requested. Shopify customer data requests are available to the store owner under Data requests in BoxPick. When Shopify sends a customer redaction request, BoxPick deletes the associated retained order records. When Shopify notifies BoxPick that the app was uninstalled, or sends a shop redaction request, BoxPick deletes the shop’s sessions, boxes, order results and data-request records. Product metafields and order notes in Shopify remain under the store owner’s control.
